Fall is officially here! It’s time to celebrate the arrival of my favorite season with one of my favorite fabrics, velvet. Velvet has become a popular choice with the raising 70s trend that has been going strong for the past few years. This luxurious fabric is soft, comfortable and helps keep you cozy when the temperature drops.
Of course, I love velvet because of the texture, and in this outfit, I decided to take that texture to a new level. I chose this fabulous pleated velvet skirt from ELOQUII in a sumptuous deep teal. Since the skirt is really the star of this look, I paired it with a black blouse from MAX Studio with a monochromatic beaded neckline, and a pair of black flats with a loafer-esque tassels.
When it comes to footwear, I am all about comfort, which is why I don’t usually wear high heels. With so many amazing lower heels and more comfortable mules and booties, choosing footwear that is comfy and stylish is easier than ever.
For the accessories, I wanted to add a pair of vintage earrings in silver, and my signature cat eye Audrey sunglasses. This look is great for a cocktail event or a holiday party. You can also add a more detailed top and accessories that make an even bolder statement. Pairing this skirt with a sequin blouse or a statement necklace that will make the look an absolute stunner.
